Everything You Need to Know Before You Begin
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How demanding is the training?
Even if there were no outside readings, assignments, class attendance, or teaching to be completed, committing to a 23-day immersion of self-study is an intense experience. Dedicating yourself to a daily Yoga practice, regular self-reflection, community, a new environment, and getting out of your comfort zone is no small endeavor and is highly transformative.
What will be the batch size?
Each batch is limited to a maximum of 15 students. We maintain small class sizes to ensure that every participant receives individualized guidance and personal attention from the teacher.
How proficient in Yoga do I have to be to do the 200-hour program?
We require a minimum of 6 months of consistent Yoga practice before enrolling in our teacher training program. We want to ensure that trainees have a solid foundation in the primary Yoga postures before learning how to teach.
What style of Yoga is the Yoga Teacher Training?
AYM Yoga School is a Hatha Yoga school with a focus on meditation, pranayama, asana, and philosophy. During the training, we offer two Yoga classes a day: a morning class and an evening class.
What if I don’t want to be a teacher?
No problem! Our 200-hour training is ideal for individuals who wish to delve deeper into the study of Yoga and enhance their own practice. It’s also great for students who want to have a transformative experience and be part of our thriving international Yoga community.
